McClelland [McClellan]
William McClellan was among the principal lessors in the parishes of Culdaff and Moville Lower, barony of Inishowen East, at the time of Griffiths Valuation in the 1850s. In the 1870s Hussey de Burgh recorded Reverend Thomas McClelland of Greencastle, Moville, as the owner of over 2000 acres in County Donegal. The earlier Landowner’s survey had recorded him as owner of over 3000 acres.
