Verschoyle (Kilmacrenan)
At the time of Griffiths Valuation in the 1850s, Reverend Hamilton Verschoyle was among the principal lessors in the parish of Augnish, barony of Kilmacrenan, County Donegal. Hussey de Burgh states that his representatives owned almost 1000 acres in County Donegal in the 1870s. John James Verschoyle, also of Saggart, was the owner of over 500 acres in County Donegal at the same time as well as over 900 acres in Dublin and 1100 in County Sligo.
