Hall (Tully House)
The Halls lived at Tully House and Rowantree House, near Monaghan town. This family are a junior branch of the Halls of Narrow Water Castle, county Down, claiming descent from a younger son Simon. His great grandson, born 1725, married Elizabeth daughter of the Reverend Alexander Lindsay, rector of Kilmore, county Monaghan. Their grandson Pery Hall was the first to reside at Tully House. The Halls were not owners of large acreages in county Monaghan. In 1876, they owned less than 150 acres in the county.
