Hone (Raphoe South)

At the time of Griffiths Valuation in the 1850s, Henry Hone was among the lessors in the parish of Convoy, barony of Raphoe South, County Donegal. Addison Hone, with an address in Kildare, is recorded as the owner of 331 acres in County Donegal and 244 acres in County Wexford in the 1870s. In 1874 over 300 acres of Knockagarran, in the barony of Raphoe, was offered for sale in the Landed Estates Court. It was occupied by the representatives of John Speer but sold as part of the estate executed on the marriage of Rebecca Colhoun with Joseph Bryan Hines.
