Grattan
In the mid-19th century Henry Grattan or his representatives held lands in the county Monaghan parishes of Tedavnet, Aghnamullen and Errigal Trough and in the county Cavan parishes of Ballintemple and Castlerahan. Part of it may have been purchased from Ralph Hinds of Mulhussey Castle, county Meath. In 1874, part of his estate was sold. In 1878, Henry Grattan’s representatives owned 1,004 acres in county Cavan and 926 acres in county Meath.
