Le Hunte
The Le Hunte family descend from Richard Le Hunte, an officer in Cromwell's army, who settled at Cashel, county Tipperary. By the end of the 18th century the Le Huntes were living at Artramont, Castlebridge, county Wexford. In 1845 George Le Hunte married Mary daughter of Edward Pennefather, Lord Chief Justice of Ireland. The Le Huntes held land in couties Tipperary, Waterford and Wexford at various times.
