Reade (Cos Tipperary & Kilkenny)
In the mid 17th century Richard Reade settled at Modeshil, barony of Slievardagh, county Tipperary and Rossenarra, Callan, county Kilkenny. The Reades later resided in county Wexford. The Honourable Loftus Reade held land in the parish of Fennor, barony of Slievardagh, county Tipperary in the mid 19th century. In February 1854 the estate of Lovick Loftus Reade and Clement Milward in counties Kilkenny and Tipperary was advertised for sale including Rathbeg in the barony of Slievardagh.
