O'Brien (Garrykennedy)
Dr Timothy O'Brien and James Watson were two of the principal landholders in the townland of Garrykennedy, parish of Castlearra, barony of Arra and Owney, county Tipperary in the mid 19th century. [Timothy O'Brien of Ailesbury House, Merrion, county Dublin, owned 759 acres in county Tipperary in the 1870s. In 1889 William and Joseph O'Brien bakers of Ailesbury House, Merrion, were founders of the company Johnston, Mooney and O'Brien.]
