Maxwell
In the mid 19th century Lady Farnham held an estate in the parishes of Dromineer and Monsea, barony of Lower Ormond, county Tipperary. Grace Cuffe was the daughter of Thomas Cuffe of Cuffesgrange, county Kilkenny. She married John James Maxwell, Earl of Farnham, in 1784. They had no children. Her father had inherited from his father lands at Dromineer which were leased by James Butler, 2nd Duke of Ormonde, to Thomas Cuffe Senior in 1697. Daniel Grace writes that when Lady Farnham died in 1856 the estate passed to a relative, Mrs Frances Fox. Francis Fox of Buddleigh Salterton, Devon owned 1,817 acres in county Tipperary in the 1870s.
