Ely
At the time of Griffith's Valuation Henry and Thomas Ely held small parcels of land in the parishes of Borrisokane and Lorrha and over 100 acres in the parish of Modreeny, barony of Lower Ormond, county Tipperary. In the 1870s Robert Ely of Elysium owned 156 acres in county Tipperary and Thomas Ely of Mount Dudley, Roscrea owned 156 acres in county Tipperary and 783 acres in King's County (Offaly).
