Toone

Francis Hastings Toone, was the son of Sweeney Toone, an East India Company director. In 1819 Maria, eldest daughter of Sweeney Toone of Keston Lodge, Kent, married Lionel William John Tollemache, 7th Earl of Dysart. According to a newly published book by Simon Gooch Francis H. Toone retired from Canton, China, in the 1840s and went to live at Keston Lodge. At the time of Griffith's Valuation Francis H. Toone held 4 townlands in the parish of Lorrha, barony of Lower Ormond, county Tipperary and one townland in the parish of Templebodan, barony of Barrymore, county Cork. In the 1870s Francis H.
