Fletcher (Co Tipperary)

At the time of Griffith's Valuation the representatives of W. P. Fletcher held land in the parishes of Dromineer and Monsea, barony of Lower Ormond, county Tipperary. The Fletcher lands were leased to Lady Farnham. John Fletcher held land in the parish of Dromineer. Wellesley Pole Fletcher was a Dublin solicitor. This family would appear to be connected to the Colley/Wellesley family, Earls of Mornington. William Pole of Ballyfin, county Laois, son of William Pole and Anne Colley, left his estates to his cousin William Wellesly who was 3rd Earl of Mornington. House and premises in the town of Nenagh belonging to Robert John Fletcher, an insolvent, were advertised for sale in November 1854.
