Pepper

''Burke's Irish Family Records'' (page 997) refers to Lambert Pepper of Mota, county Tipperary, who married Jane Otway in 1730. The Peppers of Lissanisky, parish of Ballymackey, county Tipperary, were a branch of the Pepper family of Ballygarth, county Meath. Simon Pepper was the fourth son of Lambart Pepper and his wife Jane. Simon died in 1821. He had ten sons. His seventh son, Theobald, lived at Lissanisky and his ninth son lived at Lismore. The Peppers held land in the parish of Ballymackey from the Honourable O.F.G. Toler at the time of Griffith's Valuation.
