Greer (Clonmel)
A demesne and house on the outskirts of Clonmel, the property of William Greer, were offered for sale in the Landed Estates Court in 1878. Mrs. Elizabeth Greer's representatives are recorded as owning small amounts of land in both counties Tipperary and Waterford in the 1870s. In the mid 19th century the Reverend William Grier held the townlands of Ballyclerahan and Killock, 1043 acres in the parish of Ballyclerahan, barony of Iffa and Offa East, just north west of Clonmel. In the 1870s Mrs Jane Grier of Stone Bridge, England, owned 1,043 acres in county Tipperary.
