At the time of Griffith's Valuation William Johnson held land in the parishes of Brigown, Kilgullane and Kilphelan, barony of Condons and Clangibbon, county Cork. In the 1870s Willilam Johnson of Newtown, Waterford, owned 708 acres in county Cork.
