Gray (Inchera)
Pope Gray married Mary, daughter of Rowland Davies. Their son, the Reverend Rowland Davies Gray, married Jane, daughter of Richard Townsend, a member of the Castle Townsend family. In the mid 19th century the Grays held land in the parishes of St Annes Shandon, Cork and in the Youghal locality. In the 1870s Pope Gray of Cork owned 2,524 acres in county Cork and Richard Townsend Gray of Lotaville, county Cork, owned 635 acres.
