Guiry
The return of landowners 1876 records Jerome James Guiry of Peppardstown, county Tipperary, owning 554 acres in county Tipperary while Hussey records his estate as 772 acres. O'Donnell writes that Jerome Guiry was born in 1848 at Peppardstown, the son of Michael Guiry and that he spent some time in Canada and died in 1899.
