Hare (Deerpark)
At the time of Griffith's Valuation John Hare held an estate in the parishes of Erry and St Patricksrock, barony of Middlethird, and Ballycahill and Upperchurch, barony of Kilnamanagh Upper, county Tipperary. In the 1870s John Pennefather Hare of Durrow, Queens County, owned 3,922 acres in county Tipperary and 188 acres in county Cork, while Patrick Hare of Castledurragh, Durrow, owned 600 acres in county Tipperary.
