Law (Skeheenaranky)
At the time of Griffith's Valuation James Law held most of the mountainous townland of Skeheenaranky, over 3,000 acres in the parish of Templetenny, barony of Iffa and Offa West, county Tipperary. Much of this parish had previously belonged to the Earl of Kingston and possibly Law was connected to the banking consortium of John H. Burmester, Farmery John Law and John Sadlier who bought much of the Earl of Kingston's estate.
