Hennis
At the time of Griffith's Valuation Mrs Hennis held land in the parish of Mogeely, barony of Imokilly, county Cork and William Howe Hennis held land in the parish of St. Finbars, close to Cork city. In the 1870s Robert Hennis of Knockglass, Castlemartyr, owned 663 acres in county Cork. William Howe Hennis, a banker, was the son of Francis Hennis of Ballinaboy, county Cork and in 1871 William H. Hennis married Susan Weekes Gillman.
