Bainbridge
John Hugh Bainbridge, son of Thomas Bainbridge a banker of London and Surrey, married Jane Anne Westropp of Richmond, county Limerick in 1839 and came to live in county Cork. In the mid 19th century John H. Bainbridge held land in the parish of St Finbars, barony and county of Cork. Annotations on the Goold rental of November 1851 show him purchasing part of Curcanaway. In the 1870s John H. Bainbridge of Frankfield owned 964 acres in county Cork.
