In 1827 Roper Weston of Lane House, Dorset, England, married Elizabeth daughter of John Purcell of Kilcorney, barony of West Muskerry, county Cork. At the time of Griffith's Valuation Roper Weston held at least 6 townlands in the parish of Drishane, barony of West Muskerry, county Cork. Roper Weston died in 1855 and the estate of his son William Henry Purcell Weston in the baronies of West Muskerry and Duhallow, amounting to 3,819 acres, was advertised for sale in June 1861.
