Humphreys (Broomfield)

In the 1870s William Humphreys of Broomfield owned 93 acres, Daniel Humphreys of Deerpark, Midleton owned 145 acres and Dr Humphries of Kinsale owned 438 acres in county Cork. In November 1884 The estate of William Daniel, Windsor and Charles Henry Humphreys and William James Roe and Anne Catherine Roe at East Ballyspillane, barony of Barrymore, was advertised for sale. It was held by fee farm grant dated 1858 the Reverend Edward Henry Newenham to William Humphreys and Jane Kenah. The sale was adjourned due to lack of bidding.
