Croker (Lisnabrin)
This Croker estate was in the parish of Mogeely, barony of Kinnatallon, county Cork. Nick Reddan has compiled a very detailed family history of the Irish Crokers see http://members.iinet.net.au/~nickred/croker_research/The_Irish_CROKER.pdf. He traces the Lisnabrin and Nadrid branches from the marriage of Hugh Croker and Lucretia Coppinger in the early 17th century. Their descendant Richard Croker of Lisnabrin and Nadrid made his will in June 1720. Walter Croker of Curraglass was a son of Richard's first marriage and John Croker of Nadrid was a son of his second marriage. Edward Croker of Curraglass and Lisnabrin was the eldest son of Walter. By his second wife Thomasina Philips Edward had 4 sons Robert Nettles, Walter of Lisnabrin, Edward who married Francis Pyne and died at Lisfinny Castle (his daughter Mary Frances married John Garde Browne) and Charles Philips. Walter was in the Royal Navy, married Mary Carew and died in 1840. His son Major Edward Croker held an estate in the parish of Mogeely at the time of Griffith's Valuation and Edward Croker of Curraglass owned 752 acres in county Cork in the 1870s and died at Lisnabrin in 1901.
