Hassett (Forest)

At the time of Griffith's Valuation Patrick and John Hassett held land in the parishes of Aghabulloge, Cannaway and Donaghmore, barony of East Muskerry, county Cork. By the 1870s the representatives of John Hassett of Forest, Killenardrish, owned 3,583 acres in county Cork. John Hassett died before July 1878 when his estate of over 1,700 acres in the baronies of East Muskerry and Barretts and in the city of Cork, was advertised for sale.
