Pocklington
At the time of Griffith's Valuation Major E. H. Pocklingon held an estate in the parishes of Feakle and Tulla, barony of Tulla Upper, county Clare. In the 1870s General E.H.F. Pocklington of the Horse Guards, London, owned 2,987 acres in county Clare. Evelyn Henry Frederick Pocklington was the third son of Roger Pocklington of Nottinghamshire. In 1847 he married Barbara Bloomfield of Hollywood, county Wicklow. In 1906 Captain E.B. Pocklington held untenanted land in the parish of Feakle, rural district of Scarriff.
