375 acres of the estate of Barry Collins, of Dublin, located at Asdee, barony of Iraghticonnor, county Kerry, was offered for sale in the Encumbered Estates Court in December 1851. The Freeman's Journal reported that Pelham Joseph Maine purchased the property for £3500. In August 1852, the lands of Ballymacegogue, barony of Trughanacmy, also owned by Barry Collins were offered for sale. The Ordnance Survey Books record Barry Collins of Dublin as the proprietor of townlands in the parish of Aghavallen, for which the agent was Luskum.
