Morice (Springfield)
The Reverend Francis Morice, rector of Traderee, county Clare, married Mary Spraight of Sixmilebridge in 1764. Their son also named Francis leased Springfield from George A. Wood. He also married a Spraight from Corbally and was succeeded by his son Francis in 1858. Francis Morice farmed some land of his own (376 acres in the 1870s) but was also agent for thousands of acres in counties Clare, Limerick and Tipperary.
