Richards (Inagh)

At the time of Griffith's Valuation the Right Honourable Baron Richards held an estate of at least 17 townlands in the parish of Inagh, barony of Inchiquin, county Clare. John Richards, a Baron of the Court of Exchequer, was a younger son of a junior branch of the Richards family of Macmine, county Wexford. In 1815 he married Catherine daughter of Henry Gonne Moloney of Granahan, county Clare and they had seven children. He married secondly in 1832 Christiana daughter of Christopher James O'Brien of Ennistimon. The Baron died in 1872.
