Kelly (Kilbeacanty)
At the time of Griffith's Valuation James Kelly held the townland of Gortacarnaun, 1611 acres in the parish of Kilbeacanty, barony of Kiltartan, county Galway. He lived at Cahercon or Cahiracon House, Kildysart, county Clare, in the 1860s and sold the house to Lord Annaly in 1876. see http://www.clarelibrary.ie/eolas/coclare/places/kildysartvisit.htm
