Yeadon/Yeedon
Documents in the Westport Estate Papers show that John Yeadon, a clothier of Boyle, county Roscommon, and Thomas Yeadon of Galway and Boyle were parties to mortgages of lands in the barony of Carra, county Mayo with the Bourkes and John Browne from the 1660s to 1680s. John and Thomas Yeedon, both described as 'gent', were granted lands in counties Sligo and Roscommon by patent dated 1678. John received over a thousand acres in the baronies of Tirerrill and Corran, county Sligo while Thomas was given 145 acres in the barony of Boyle, county Roscommon. Susanna, daughter and heiress of John Yeadon of Boyle Abbey married Owen Lloyd of Rockville, county Roscommon.
