Dillon (Dillon's Grove)
The Dillons of Dillon's Grove, county Roscommon, were a branch of the Dillon family of Drumreany, county Westmeath. Gerald Dillon, son of Richard Dillon and his second wife Margaret O'Molloy, was residing at Dillon's Grove by the beginning of the 18th century. He married twice, by his second wife, Honora Aylward, he had two sons, Richard and Aylward, and two daughters, Mary and Margaret. Mary married Thomas O'Conor of Milltown in 1749.
