Clarke (Dunmore)
In the mid 1850s Courtney K. Clark held land in the parishes of Addergoole and Liskeevy, barony of Dunmore, county Galway. In the 1870s his estate amounted to 1,256 acres and he lived at Larchhill, [Tibradden], Dublin, now the headquarters of scouting in Ireland. He would appear to be Courtney Kenny Clarke, a son of John Clarke of Dublin and Maria daughter of Courtney Kenny of Ballinrobe, county Mayo. His daughter Frances Esther Anne married in 1875 the Reverend Fitzherbert Astley Cave Browne Cave.
