Algie

Over 250 acres at Lisduff in the barony of Longford, county Galway, the property of John Phillip Algie, a minor and his mother Rose Whytinge Algie, were offered for sale in the Land Judges court in June 1879. This property was leased by Henry Birch, of Gill Hall, county Down to John Algie in 1861 forever at an annual rent of £400. The Kelly and Browne families also seem to have had an interest in the Lisduff property.
