White (Clonrush)
Roderick White is recorded as one of the principal lessors in the parish of Clonrush, barony of Leitrim, county Galway, at the time of Griffith's Valuation. At the same time Matthew White was leasing Ballycorban House from Sir Thomas Burke. In May 1867 and January 1868 the estate of James Whyte at Kylebrack East and Ballycorban, in the barony of Leitrim, county Galway, was offered for sale in the Landed Estates court. This property was held on a lease by Whyte from Sir Thomas Burke (of Marblehill?) and included the "handsome dwelling house" at Ballycorban. In the 1870s Denis White of Whitegate was the owner of over 400 acres in county Galway.
