- 164 acres at Cottage, owned by Sarah Helena Kelly, wife of Edmond Walter Kelly, were offered for sale in the Landed Estates court in June 1883. The Irish Times reported on a brisk discussion which took place during the sale. The Judge was about to declare the bidder of over £3000 the purchaser when the owner's solicitor sought an adjournment on the grounds that the bid was insufficient. The purchase on this lot was eventually complete but the sale of the second lot was adjourned.
- At the time of Griffith's Valuation Edmund Kelly held an estate in the parishes of Killinvoy and Kilmeane, barony of Athlone, county Roscommon. The Scregg estate of 662 acres, owned by John Edmond Crofton Kelly, was advertised for sale in November 1856.
