A house known as Breaghwy Lodge was the estate home of the family in the early 19th century. In 1786 Wilson refers to Breafy as the seat of Mr. Browne. This building was later replaced by a large Victorian house which was the residence of D.A Browne in 1894. It now functions as Breaffy House Hotel,
