At the time of Griffith's Valuation, Greyfield, barony of Boyle, was leased by Robert O'Donnell from the O'Reilly estate. It was valued at £10. Lewis also records Greyfield as the seat of the O'Donnell family in 1837. The original house is no longer extant.
